Terms of Service

Effective Date: July 5, 2025

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and OlympusHub ("we," "us," or "our"), the developers of the Cronus ("Service").

By accessing or using the Service in any capacity, you affirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must refrain from using the Service.

1. Eligibility and Authority

You represent and warrant that you are at least thirteen (13) years of age and possess the legal capacity to enter into binding agreements. If you access the Service on behalf of a legal entity, you affirm that you are duly authorized to accept these Terms on its behalf.

2. Description of the Service

The Service integrates with Google Drive (with explicit user authorization) and Discord to provide automated text extraction (OCR) and translation services for user-submitted image or ZIP files. This involves temporarily downloading user-selected content, processing it, and delivering results via Discord.

We expressly disclaim responsibility for the content of user-submitted files. You are solely responsible for ensuring that your data complies with applicable laws.

3. Grant of Access and Permissions

By initiating the OAuth authorization process, you grant the Service read-only access to specific Google Drive resources you select. This access is used exclusively for processing submitted files and returning results. We do not request or store access beyond the minimum required scope.

4. User Conduct and Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Upload or process content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable;
  • Infringe upon any third party's intellectual property rights;
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any system or circumvent security measures;
  • Abuse, disrupt, or interfere with the proper functioning of the Service.

Violations may result in immediate suspension or termination of access without prior notice.

5. Intellectual Property and Limited License

You retain all rights to the content you submit. We claim no ownership over your files. Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service solely for its intended purpose.

All intellectual property rights in the Service (excluding user-submitted content) are owned by us and protected under applicable intellectual property laws.

6. Data Handling and Retention

All files submitted are processed transiently and deleted automatically after processing. OAuth tokens are stored securely and are used solely to fulfill the authorized scope. No data is shared or retained beyond what is necessary to complete your request.

7. Security

We follow best practices to protect your data and tokens. All API communications are encrypted. OAuth tokens are securely stored and never shared. In the event of a data breach, affected users will be notified promptly through appropriate channels.

8. Usage Limits

We reserve the right to throttle, restrict, or deny access to the Service in the event of excessive usage, abuse, or any activity that negatively impacts performance, stability, or availability. Automated usage without permission is strictly prohibited.

9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR UNINTERRUPTED.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

10. Modifications to Terms

We may amend these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via reasonable means (e.g., Discord announcement or update notice). Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. All disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located within India.
